The People’s Transition for Roscommon Farmers
About the project:
Beginning in December 2022, the intention of the project was to listen, and learn from, the needs and abilities of farmers in Roscommon and then attempt to design a number of solutions that would benefit farmers in the county.
What we heard:
Farming is central the economic and social life of County Roscommon
Farmers do not feel they are making a liveable income
There is a sense that farmers are being disproportionately blamed for climate change in Ireland
